Daily Happiness - Tower Tavern
Tower Tavern was the first place I really gravitated to when I first moved here. Mainly because I could walk there. But also because it was more of a chill spot to hang out and watch a game. Great staff. Good food. And being a newcomer it was really welcoming compared to some of the other Martini Corner spots. (And it continues to be.)
I used to go there a lot. But since I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance. Almost feels like I’m cheating if I go out in KC and don’t get a chance to stop in. But on NFL kickoff night it was the only place I wanted to go.
So I’ll go get a beer. Get a bite. Say hi to Grant and Maggie and relish in the wash of a new NFL season. Knowing I’ll always have that seat at the bar.
